Words+Pixels specialises in turning innovative products into must-have brands through product seeding, reviewer relationships, and campaigns that drive awareness and sales. Trusted by brands including Back Market,, Hammerhead, DREO, Emm, and CORE, we know how to secure the coverage that influences buying decisions and builds long-term brand value.
Our work in Consumer Electronics
1. Back Market - Refurbished consumer electronics marketplace
Winner: SABRE EMEA Award for Emerging Sector Campaign, 2025

This is the campaign that won it. The Last Shot Gallery promoted Back Market's refurbished consumer electronics and kitchen appliance category.
Fast tech has a cost nobody likes to think about. So we made them look at it. We turned hyper-real iPhone photography into a two-day London exhibition on planned obsolescence and climate change, grounded in research from UCL's Professor Mark Maslin - reaching an audience of over 576 million people and drawing hundreds of visitors through the gallery doors in just 48 hours.
2. Hammerhead- Connected cycling computers

Some products earn nicknames. The Karoo 2 earned "the iPhone of cycling computers"- and we made sure the world knew it. Over a two-year press office, we launched the product, announced its acquisition by SRAM, and built content with Tour de France winner Chris Froome - securing Hammerhead a top 3 cycling computer ranking in 2022.
3. DREO- Smart home technology

Breaking into the UK home tech market means earning a reviewer's trust before you earn a customer's. We built DREO's UK press office from scratch, landing reviews and expert commentary across leading tier-one titles -turning a newcomer into a name people actually search for and building the kind of credibility that compounds long after launch.

4. Emm- Smart menstrual health technology

Emm hadn't even launched its product yet- and we still got it on TechCrunch, the BBC, and Fortune. We built the funding announcement around the founder's story and the gap in the market Emm was built to close, generating a reach of 150 million and hundreds of brand mentions across the female health space, before a single unit had shipped.

5. CORE - Smart body temperature technology

Heat training was the secret weapon of elite athletes. We made it front-page news.
With the 2024 Olympics approaching, we positioned CORE’s body temperature sensor and Heat Adaptation Score as essential kit for anyone serious about performance - framing heat adaptation as the next V02 max. Through athlete stories, climate-relevance angles, and targeted media outreach, we took a niche piece of sports tech and gave it a cultural moment - delivering a total audience reach of 242 million and doubling UK share of voice against competitors.

What makes a great PR agency for consumer electronics?
Good consumer electronics PR isn't just a launch-day press release. It's the reviewer relationships, retail-relevant credibility, and ongoing consumer trust that quietly turn coverage into sales long after launch week ends. Look for an agency that offers:
- Product Launch campaigns built around the news, seeding, and timing that get a new device noticed the moment it ships
- Influencer Campaigns that pair your product with the right creators- from niche micro-influencers to mass-reach voices- for authentic, social-first buzz
- Crisis Management for the recalls, supply issues, or reviewer backlash hardware brands are uniquely exposed to
- Digital PR + SEO that turns coverage into the backlinks and search visibility shoppers see before they buy
Why choose Words+Pixels as your consumer electronics PR partner
We've built our name on disruptive, product-led brands- refurbished tech, e-mobility, smart home devices, connected hardware. We know that electronics PR sits at the messy intersection of product reviews, lifestyle press, and business news, and we've built campaigns that work across all three at once.
Whether you need a long-term press office or a single unforgettable launch moment, we know how to turn a spec sheet into a story journalists actually want to write.
