The brief
Making a visual statement on the true cost of fast tech.
The approach
Research from Back Market revealed a terrifying disconnect between awareness and action around sustainable technology. 89% of Brits said they have noticed visible signs of climate change in their lifetime but over a third admitted it hadn’t changed how they shop.
To show this real cost of fast tech and planned obsolescence on the planet, we unveiled The Last Shot Gallery - a two-day immersive exhibition in London that transformed hyper-real iPhone-shot photography into powerful visual statements of its bleak future. Visitors were taken on a journey through ten reimagined global landmarks, from Brazil’s Iguazu Falls to the River Seine in Paris, each reshaped to reveal the environmental consequences of our relentless upgrade culture. Adding scientific depth, Professor Mark Maslin, Earth System Science expert at UCL, grounded each artwork in real-world environmental projections, translating data into vivid, emotionally resonant storytelling.
The first UK pop up activation for Back Market saw visitors in their hundreds stepping into the gallery, was home to an expert-led panel hosted by Will Attenborough and has set the template for further Last Shot Gallery’s to pop up across global markets.
