Lime

Transforming urban space
The brief
Transforming urban space: Lime’s campaign to reclaim parking for micromobility.
The approach
We needed to influence stakeholders and encourage the reallocation of parking space from cars to shared micromobility, so we created an attention-grabbing art installation in central London. Partnering with award-winning street artists 3D Joe and Max, we transformed an old diesel van into a hyper-realistic bike bay, complete with neatly parked Lime bikes and a bench.
This optical illusion made the van seem to disappear, showcasing the potential benefits of repurposing urban space for the community. To drive public engagement, we launched a parking pledge campaign encouraging riders to support our call for more bike parking by signing a petition in exchange for a chance to win a year’s worth of Lime rides. We further amplified the campaign by collaborating with the Centre for London and Steer to produce a report highlighting parking shortages in the capital, paired with Lime’s commitments to addressing these challenges.
