Creating a PR strategy around celebrity investment

The brief

To make some noise about Audoo’s funding round led by music legend Sir Elton John.

The approach

In the lead-up to the investment announcement, we introduced Audoo to key journalists to give them insight into the never-seen-before technology and the challenges the Audoo Audio Meter ™ improves when it comes to public performance royalty distribution. We focused on the profile of the founder and CEO, building Audoo’s reputation as a true industry disruptor and one to watch within mainstream media. 

When we announced the investment by Sir Elton John, we secured an exclusive with Sky News, both online and a broadcast interview filmed in the Sky studio for the Ian King Show. We then pitched the news out to the national, regional and trade press, positioning the partnership between Sir Elton John and Audoo as one that puts the interest of upcoming artists at its heart.
