Words + Pixels and Lime’s Helmet Hair Salon selected for PRWeek’s Automotive/Transport shortlist
With Lime, we created the world’s first Helmet Hair Salon for commuters and casual riders alike.
In 2021, Lime saw immense growth since more people were cycling, although women were cycling less for fear of their safety. After commissioning our own research, we found that one in five riders don’t wear helmets for fear of messing up their hair.. Madness! With all of this, we found our target audience - Millennial and Gen Z riders with a skew towards women!
We popped up in one of London’s busiest commuter stations (King’s Cross) for just one day only with the world’s first Helmet Hair Salon. We sorted people’s barnets, educated them on rider safety, gave out over 300 helmets and over 1000 Lime discount codes!
Our campaign was featured across tons of media, including Time Out, Metro, MoveElectric, CITTI Magazine and more. Even better, multiple London Borough councils reached out to Lime to ask for the pop up in their neighbourhoods, too!

Ahhhh! Our first ever PRWeek award nomination for our agency. This is one for the books.
We’re thrilled to be cast as shortlisters for PRWeek’s Specialist Consultancy award - we’re rubbing shoulders with some fantastic agencies.

Others focus on the vertical, we work with the horizontal, those fast-growing firms who need specialists to get their name and word out there.
We’re firmly entrenched in the ecosystem, working with VCs and other disruptive marketing specialists, to make a real difference. As a pretty new business ourselves, having launched in Jan 2020, we know the growing pains that startups face personally.
Lots of our senior team act as mentors to startup founders and we also give 1% of our profits back into the startup ecosystem.
