THE BRIEF

Karma is trying to save the world whilst helping to turn surplus into a business opportunity through their app. They came to us looking to drive awareness of the Karma concept among both consumers and retailers and showcase the benefits of partnering with them.

How we approached it

We arranged interviews with the national and business press for Karma’s co-founders, focussing on recent investment news and their origin story.

We targeted app columns and slots in the national and lifestyle media, highlighting the easy-to-use platform tackling food waste.

To highlight the rising issue of food waste, we worked with the press to explain the changes we can all make to reduce our impact on the environment.

Through W+P’s impressive network, they provided incredible opportunities to tell our story, creating those ‘wow’ moments that got people talking globally.

The results were incredible – they achieved vast earned media reach that set the media agenda. Ultimately, this provided me the ultimate success metric, linking the brand to a wide variety of new consumers.

“I've engaged many PR companies over the years, it's always a great sales presentation followed by an expensive ongoing retainer. W+P is delightfully and refreshingly different, it's as if the team are a part of ours.

I hope others don't find out just how good W+P is, we really want to keep them all to ourselves”
